The Canucks are preparing for the first round of playoffs against the Los Angeles Kings. After winning the President's Trophy (awarded to the team with the most points) for the second year in a row, the Canucks expect to make another long playoff run. In an interview, Roberto Luongo said that the team is stronger this year and better prepared to go through the process.
Unfortunately, no updates have been given on the status of Daniel Sedin. The Canucks claimed that he would be ready for playoffs but no evidence has been provided yet.
I think the Canucks will have a strong playoff run this year because they are more aware of what it takes. Last year it was the first time for many of the players to reach the Stanley Cup Finals. If Daniel Sedin returns in top form, I think the Canucks could have a very different outcome this June.
