'Anonymous' hacking group targets Chinese government.

http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/SciTech/20120405/chinese-government-websites-hacked-anonymous-120405/

This is an article which highlights the recent attack the international hacking group "Anonymous" inflicted on several chinese government websites. This 'Anonymous' activist group has shown their presence all over the world, fighting for global issues, and in particular, issues that have to do with the world wide web.

I wanted to share this article becuase it illustrates the way in which this group are sending messages to their target audiences. They wanted to send a message, loud and clear to the chinese government, but they knew that their voices wouldn't be willingly heard. So, after doing an audience anlaysis, their method was to 'force' these messages by hacking their websites. Just check out this chinese government website which was hacked and read the message: http://cdcbd.gov.cn/

It's an interesting turn of events, especially in the communications world. The internet has made communication so much more attainable and feasable, and this Anonymous hacking group are activists that promote the access of information which the internet provides.

This may be of interest to you personally because the internet is constantly evolving, in ways that we cannot forsee. There are government policy makers that promote the filtering of web searches, which would in turn hurt our current ability to access information so easily over the web.

Definately worth a read..
