6 Tips to Beat the Final Exam Stress

Evening all :)

As many of you are aware, the stressful times are approaching (and by stressful I mean the exam season is upon us). It is inevitable that stress is a big part of university experience.

Kwantlen offers great resources for managing stress. Just go and visit the counseling office, where qualified advisors can offer you guidance or even enroll you in the latest stress management or test
taking skills workshops.

Below are some of the tips that actually help me relieve stress during the rigorous exam weeks.

  1. Avoid stressful people.
  2. Eat healthy and exercise.
  3. Just say NO. (Not to drugs (which you should always say no to) :P but to people who take up your time.) Studying is important. Time management is the key.
  4. Force yourself to take breaks. It is important to have your brain relax a little. A 15 minute break can later actually help you stay more focused on work.
  5. Visualize it all going right. Power of positive thinking.
  6. If you’ve studied all you can, get up your confidence! Confidence with the right amount of studying is the key to successful completion of any test.
In conclusion, stress is something that you have to deal with. So, don’t let it take over your life.
