Social media helps us run our lives...

In today's age, social media is something that literally helps us run our lives more smoothly. Ever imagined what would be the reaction Facebook users if it was taken away? I can't think of a very positive one! I don't use Facebook myself, but I have friends who use it to stay connected with people around the world and keep each other updated about different social and political events. And not to forget the frustration I get to witness when they don't have access to their Facebook accounts.

I use social media for:

  • Entertainment
  • Access to loads of information (just a click of a button away)

Social media is great for entertainment purposes. I browse through a lot of videos myself, for entertainment and even when trying to learn something new. YouTube, for example, has millions of  videos for pretty much anything a person would want to see and/or learn, anything from movies to childhood poems.

In today's age of Internet, we can have access to loads of information about any topic, its just a click away. Whether its about anything relating to academics, or even searching a person. Everything is possible today, thanks to Internet.

I don't think I can imagine my life without social media today. Today, we are so much dependent upon social media in running our lives, that no one even wants to think about what it would be like without social media around. It can be viewed as something negative as we are so dependent on social media, it is literally helping us run our lives today. But if used wisely, Internet is helping us educate ourselves about events occurring around us everyday.

    2. Thank you for your comment croxtonpowel. Yes, we have unknowingly let social media become such part of our life that we literally cannot live without it. I think its very important to teach ourselves not to be dependent upon it completely, but somehow, it is getting harder and harder to do that as well..
