How To Succeed In A Job Interview?

A good performance in interview helps much to get the job. As a senior human resource manager said he could judge whether an interviewee suitable for the job in the first 10 seconds, interview give the employer direct impression about the interviewee's appearance and personality.
So, how to succeed in a job interview? Interviewee should take full use of the 30 minutes to show his crucial capabilities. First at all, the interviewee must pay attention to his or her appearance. Get dressed properly and neatly. Secondly, good manners are also important. Don't be too proud, and neither too timid. Just be courteous. Thirdly, the interviewee must demonstrate his aptitude and competence for the job and his knowledge in the industry. The last but not the least, the interviewee ought to be honest about his or her personal as well as academic background, for honesty is the best policy. In a word, interviewee should do his best to convince the latent employer.

  2. Great insight on interviews Andrew! Interviews can be demanding but adequate preparation and rehearsal can make the process go smooth. From my past experiences at interviews, I have learned a few tips I would like to share.

    Timing

Timing is key! A common saying is that showing up to an interview on time is actually considered late. What does this mean? It means that interviewees should arrive to the interview well before the actual interview. Arriving early helps calm the nerves and lets an interviewee take in their new surroundings. Employers can tell if an interviewee is feeling rushed and think negatively of those who don’t show up on time.

    Preparation

Going to an interview not fully prepared is one of the worst things an interviewee can do! Candidates need to research the company thoroughly (not just surf the company website). From my experience, one of the first questions employers ask is "What do you know about us?" (Referring to their company). Giving a valid answer can steer the interview into the right direction!

    Be Human

One thing I personally do is start the introduction as humanly as possible! What I mean by this is that I ask the employer how they are doing and strike conversation about things not relevant to the actual interview, such as the weather and how their day is doing. I find this usually dissolves any tension and gives them a glimpse about my personality.
